touche
This non-soccer mom is going to a pretty packed soccer game tonight, thanks to my friend Angie who has such close season ticket seats that I can almost wipe the sweat off of the players faces, Go Sounders!

I found a new blog today, I like it very much. I wanted to share a blog post from letters to ames that talks about grace and of course just this very morning I could have used this post, but for some reason I can't link just the post. Sometimes, God knows exactly what I need or rather need to read and He finds a gentle way to remind me. If you need a little grace reminder click on letters to ames and go about 3 pages in to a post titled to err on the side of grace.
a little snippet:
a little snippet:
"If we were always looking to give the other guy a break... wouldn't our relationships run a whole lot more smoothly? If instead of taking, we were always giving, regardless of the outcome... wouldn't there be a whole lot less selfishness and bitterness in the world? Good grief, think about the possibilities! World peace, y'all!"
yup, I can use a little world peace or even household peace!

a little of this and a little of that...
So, I haven't been feeling like blogging all that much and since my audience is thin and mostly family, who do see my kids and me often, I haven't posted pics. I've been so super lazy. We have, however, despite the fact that summer has shown it's face only 3 or 4 times here in the Seattle area, been having a great summer. Wow, that was a complete run-on sentence but anyways...my sister in law over at The Barons (see side for favorite blogs) just spiffed up her bloggity blog and she kind of made me get the blogging itch. I am in the process of downloading a zillion pics and will try to post some soon but in the mean time...
Have I ever mentioned that I really dislike grocery shopping? well, I. do. big. time.
this is a picture I took of my refrigerator about 5 minutes ago, pathetic right? Thanks goodness I found some hot dogs and buns left over from Theo's birthday party in the freezer, that's dinner tonight, along with some canned baked beans and homemade potato salad I am making now. Thank goodness my kids like celery, carrots and cheese so much because until tomorrow that's pretty much all we have!
This little cutie got 4 teeth pulled last week, she did a great job and it's been fun to see her smile all week. I can't wait for her crazy big teeth to come in but it once again it reminds me of how fast my kiddo's are growing. I just want to pull the reigns and slow it down a bit.
In other exciting news, I am going to be an aunt again! My brother in law and his girlfriend are expecting a baby in February, which pretty much makes me ecstatic, considering how baby crazy I am right now. I already have some of the cutest nieces and nephews around so I can't wait for another one to join the fam.

hipster (or lack there of)
Today, while at work on the slowest work day ever...I had ample time to surf the net and saw this http://bleubirdvintage.typepad.com/blog/ blog with pictures of a delightful family. I have to admit that once upon a time before kids, and in New York City, when I had a life and time, I dressed pretty snazzy and took some chances. Over the years I have noticed that I have become...gulp, REALLY conservative. I practically live in jeans (Seven for All Mankind or Paige and I only mention it so that I still feel somewhat cool for wearing designer jeans) and t-shirts. I am even bored with looking at myself in the mirror. I have some how lost my zest to dress funky, fun, young, cute, or adventurous. I need to get my groove back or at least some sort of groove back and get fun, get crazy, or at lest get some new clothes! My inspiration is below (minus the beard for Jer):
(even their kids have hipster names Julian, Milla and Gemma, love it!)

Shutterfly
I am absolutely in love with the beautiful cards at shutterfly.com, have you seen them? I have always tried to get Christmas cards out since we have family and friends scattered all over the United States and even some out of the country. I feel like it's my way to share a little glimpse into our lives and let everyone see how much my cute kids have grown. I am also particularly fond of Christmas, how can you not love all that December has to offer? One of my favorite things about Christmas along with sending Christmas cards is receiving them. I love getting the mail and I love displaying the cards on a ribbon strung across two walls. Check out the cards at Shutterfly, and get ordering those cards so I can rip them open with Christmas cheer!
